We love this time of year in New York. Shop windows adorned with astonishing displays, visitors bustling about hunting for perfect gifts, and the Holiday Train Show erected at the New York Botanical Garden, our favorite stop on the track of festive seasonal spirit.

Fragments of bark, leaves, twigs, and a vast assortment of natural materials are used to recreate the enchanting city in miniature, famed New York City and state architecture highlighted amid traveling model trains. In their twenty-sixth year, this was our sixth visit to the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. It never fails to charm! Tapping into my inner child, I am delighted and awestruck every time by the details and display. As this year comes to a close, let me leave you with some highlights from the enchanting 2017 show.

No place epitomizes the American experience and the American spirit more than New York City.
