Chihuly up close...
The evening was perfect for a visit to our favorite respite. A light breeze, calm and dry, the sky dappled and delicate as the sun took its bow. Open later for members' day, The New York Botanical Garden welcomed us, and we strolled at leisure to view the current artistry of Dale Chihuly.
Larger than life pieces were above, ahead, and in-between, emblazon in unique texture and form. With the gardens as their canvas, glass of vivid translucent color and transparency dazzled in the sun and spotlights. Though photos taken during our visit are from considerable distance, I carefully cropped many in an effort to punctuate the incredible virtuosity.
