Footing the cover of the Pascack Press was an ad for The Designer Showhouse of New Jersey. Hmmm... that sounds like something I would enjoy... So I made a mental note to get more info online later. As if to remind me while driving home late that same afternoon, I couldn't miss the HUGE billboard on Route 80 for the event. Okay, twice in one day, I need to check this out!

The Designer Showhouse is a showcase for America’s premier design talent partnered with Traditional Home Magazine. Top interior and landscape designers from the New York and New Jersey areas transform a luxurious home into a decorated masterpiece brimming with lots of eye candy to spark creative juices and ideas for us frugal folk! The 6th annual Designer Showhouse of New Jersey is open to the public now until June 10th, Tuesday through Sunday, 10 AM – 4 PM (closed on Mondays). A $30 entrance fee benefits the Heart & Vascular Hospital and the Emergency Trauma Department at Hackensack University Medical Center. You get to take home a show house journal and color guide for all the rooms, as well as umpteen business cards and brochures. The landscaping is exquisite, especially around the in-ground pool and cabana, and you can stay for lunch and shop featured vendor wares. If you are in the area and can spend a couple of hours sashaying through the estate, make a plan to spend some time here. It's a feast for your eyes!
